Takeaway is an educational community for the doers in digital communications. A place where we come together to learn and grow from each other’s experiences so that together, we can advance the industry.
The concept of Takeaway is that you get to design the professional development experience that works best for where you’re at. Gone are the days where we’re all shoved into the same PD box for sixteen hours with a bunch of strangers, listening to a bunch of presentations (75% of which don’t apply to you) and being expected to change our practices by the next working day.
We all learn in different ways so we’re giving you different ways to learn. With Takeaway, you’ll be able to choose different Takeaway elements to build your ideal professional development experience so that you walk away fired up and ready to make changes that matter.
One thing you can expect is that every Takeaway experience is intentionally designed to excite you, challenge you, and help you take your game to the next level.

Through our scholarship program and by offering learning opportunities at different levels of investment, Takeaway is designed to support digital communicators at every level.

Where we call home.
Takeaway was founded on and is based out of Treaty Six Territory in Edmonton, Alberta, which is the traditional gathering place for many Indigenous people.
We honour and respect the history, languages, ceremonies and culture of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit who call this territory home and continue to enrich our vibrant community.
